N. Blanca, the pseudonym, identifies the genre of my creative process. This identity is a perspective on witnessing and documenting the beauty of everyday and found objects. My art derives from found objects that are charged with signs of former lives and experiences.
I am moved by the pleasing and impressive qualities of something one stumbles across, a found object, either natural or man-made.
I create tension by breaking the surface of the canvas with tactile texture that evokes remembrances of feelings, times, places, and things we have experienced, seen, and touched. The texture engages one with the canvas, which comes alive with movement.
Each texture is developed with layers of emulsions, mediums, found, and collected objects and then painted with luminous colors
